After working up a sweat, guests were treated to refreshing smoothies served as the perfect cool-down. The colourful, nutrient-packed drinks sparked conversation as participants mingled, shared stories and reflected on the significance of Women’s Day.

A thank you goes to one of Junior Colleges’ Meyersdal’s dads, Keagan Dewee from Perla Events, for providing the stage, sound and lighting, adding a professional touch that elevated the experience.

Principal Elriza Riddle expressed delight at the turnout, noting that the event was not just about exercise, but about creating a space for women to celebrate themselves and each other.

“We wanted to honour the women in our community with something that left them feeling energised, appreciated and connected,” she said.

The morning ended on a high note, with many attendees already suggesting similar gatherings throughout the year. Judging by the smiles and laughter, Junior Colleges Meyersdal’s Women’s Day celebration was a resounding success. A day that celebrated the strength, spirit and joy of women in an uplifting way.
