Community rallies for NPO at charity event

A heartwarming morning of walking, cycling and sweet treats brought the community together in support of Place of Purpose

The Place of Purpose, an NPO that empowers intellectually disabled and learning-challenged young adults aged 16 and older, hosted a charity Fun Walk and Cycle Ride at the scenic Thaba Eco Trails.

The event aimed to raise funds to help the organisation get its business license, a vital step in expanding its reach and impact.

The day was filled with scenic rides, strolls and mouthwatering treats when supporters showed up to back the cause.

“The turnout and support were great. It’s heartwarming to see the community rally behind our mission to create a safe, inclusive space for young adults often overlooked,” said one director.

The trails saw participants of all ages walk and cycle through the rugged terrain, while families and friends enjoyed the refreshments available for sale.

Place of Purpose thanked everyone who contributed to the day’s success.

With the funds raised, the NPO is one step closer to securing its license and continuing its mission of education, empowerment and inclusion.
