City of Ekurhuleni donates peach trees to Stepping Stone Hospice
A heartfelt gesture from the City of Ekurhuleni brings new life to Stepping Stone Hospice as ten peach trees are planted in support of the organisation’s mission of care and compassion.
Stepping Stone Hospice is delighted to announce that it has received a generous donation of 10 peach trees from the City of Ekurhuleni’s Parks Department.
This thoughtful contribution, facilitated through the dedicated support of Ward 106 Clr Tim Denny, marks a meaningful addition to the Hospice’s grounds and celebrates community partnership and environmental care.
The donation forms part of Ekurhuleni’s community greening initiative, through which the Parks Department is distributing trees to local schools and community spaces across the region.
“We are truly honoured by this generous donation. This gift represents more than just trees, it represents the community’s recognition of the importance of our work and their commitment to creating spaces of beauty and sustenance for all who enter through our doors,” said Stepping Stone Hospice founder and CEO Tersia Burger.
The newly planted peach trees will not only enhance the Hospice’s tranquil environment but also stand as a living symbol of growth, care and the strong community spirit that continues to sustain Stepping Stone Hospice’s mission.
