JustPaulos celebrates a powerful new chapter with the release of Sandton
JustPaulos unleashes his vibrant new single Sandton a feel good anthem celebrating joy ambition and the rise of a bold South African storyteller.
South Africa’s rising multi-hyphenate creative, Paulos ‘JustPaulos’ Ngwenya, has officially released his brand-new single Sandton, on November 19, marking another major milestone in his fast-moving career.
Born and bred in the greater Alberton area and raised by loving parents who nurtured his artistic spark, JustPaulos has grown into a vibrant, outgoing personality known for his ambition and unstoppable drive.
A lover of fast cars and an entrepreneur by nature, he approaches his craft with the same bold determination he brings to business.
Speaking about the new track, JustPaulos said that his new track, Sandton, is a celebration of freedom, joy and possibility.
“The track is about living fully, dreaming boldly and reminding yourself that you deserve good things. I wanted people to feel alive the moment the beat drops,” he said.
Sandton is an infectious, feel-good party anthem with upbeat rhythms, catchy melodies and lyrics that capture the warm glow of a South African soft life.
Now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube Music, the single is already gaining momentum among fans.
But music is only one chapter of JustPaulos’s creative journey.
The Katlehong-born rapper, singer-songwriter, producer, film director and entrepreneur has built a reputation for blending cinematic storytelling with sonic texture.
After studying film editing and VFX in the UK, he went on to direct award-winning short films, scooping accolades such as best short film storyline and best director at the UK Films Awards (2015), and best director at the Ekurhuleni International Film Awards the same year. His work spans TV series, talk shows and corporate productions that still air today.
JustPaulos brings this visual sensibility into his music, crafting tracks that mix raw, street-wise lyricism with soulful melodies and electrifying performances.
His earlier release, Ngane ka Makhelwane, has already surpassed 151 000 views on YouTube, which is a sign of his growing footprint in South African hip-hop.
His debut studio album, I Am Paulos, cements his position as a storyteller with a soundtrack – a bold, hope-filled project fusing gritty narratives with melodic hooks.
“With this album, I want people to understand who I am and where I’m going. Everything I create, whether film or music, is about telling stories that move people,” the talented artist said.
As Sandton continues its rollout, one thing is becoming clear: JustPaulos is accelerating at full throttle, and his impact on South Africa’s music landscape is only beginning.
