Alberton Lions Club launches back-to-school book covering drive
Parents and learners can have schoolbooks covered for a donation at The Glen Shopping Centre this January.
The Alberton Lions Club has launched a back-to-school book covering initiative to support learners and parents ahead of the new academic year.
Community members are invited to bring their schoolbooks to The Glen Shopping Centre, where Lions Club volunteers will cover them in exchange for a donation.
The initiative aims to help protect learners’ books while raising funds for community service projects.
The book covering service will run from January 10 to January 25.
For more information, members of the public can contact Lion Sandy on 082 815 4575.
The Alberton Lions Club, part of Lions District 410E in South Africa, continues its commitment to serving the community through practical, learner-focused initiatives.
