Revival City College welcomes new staff members for the 2026 academic year

New educators have joined Revival City College as learners return to class for the start of the academic year.

Revival City College has welcomed several new staff members as the school begins the 2026 academic year, strengthening its teaching and support team across multiple grades and subjects.

The new appointments include Monique van der Walt, who will be teaching Grade Three, and Shannon Strydom, who also joins the Grade Three teaching team.

Jetzke van Heerden has been appointed as the art educator for grades four to six, while Tyresse Naicker will be teaching English to Grade Four learners.

Nicolene van Niekerk joins the school as the English teacher for grades six and seven, and Sharon Slaughter will be responsible for English in grades nine, 10 and 12.

Sandra Joseph, who has been appointed as the school’s personal assistant to the operational director and principal, is strengthening the school’s administrative and leadership support.

The school said the new staff members bring valuable experience, enthusiasm and a shared commitment to learner development, creativity and academic excellence.

Alongside welcoming new educators, Revival City College also shared photographs of learners on the first days of school, reflecting a positive, energetic start to the year.

School management extended a warm welcome to both new staff and returning learners, expressing confidence that the 2026 school year will be one of growth, learning, and achievement for the entire Revival City College community.
