Alberton community gears up for colourful Easter Drive Convoy
Families are invited to decorate their cars, donate Easter eggs, and join a festive convoy to spread joy to thousands of children this long weekend.
The Alberton community is preparing for a joyful and family-friendly Easter celebration with the upcoming Easter Drive Convoy on April 3.
The event promises colour, community spirit, and plenty of smiles as residents will gather to spread Easter cheer.
Participants will meet at the Alberton Fire Department at 11:00, with the convoy scheduled to depart at 12:00.
Community members are encouraged to decorate their vehicles in festive Easter style and to bring their families for what is expected to be a lively and heartwarming procession.
The aim of the event is to strengthen community spirit while thousands of children receive Easter eggs and enjoy the long weekend.
Organisers hope the convoy will not only deliver treats but also create shared memories and a sense of unity among residents.
Each participating vehicle is requested to bring one box of Easter eggs, which will be distributed to children along the route.
The convoy, featuring decorated cars and support vehicles, highlights Alberton’s strong sense of generosity and togetherness.
Those who would like to donate boxes of Easter eggs are more than welcome to do so, with organisers saying that the more donations received, the more children can be reached – making it a case of the more, the merrier.
It is being organised by Natasha Stapelberg, who has called on the community to get involved and help make the day special for local children.
With baskets of colourful eggs, festive decorations, and an atmosphere of goodwill, the Easter Drive Convoy is set to be a highlight on Alberton’s community calendar.
