CPS Security officers learn life-saving skills at Alberton hospital

Security company invests in critical emergency response training.

CPS Security Reaction Officers underwent comprehensive first aid, CPR, and Stop the Bleed training at the Netcare Alberton Hospital.

As first responders, the officers are often on the scene before emergency medical services arrive, making the training crucial for protecting lives.

The training aligns with private security companies’ commitment to professional development and operational excellence, equipping officers with practical skills to assist the public in medical emergencies.

Training also ensures officers know how to keep victims or suspects breathing while medical personnel are on the way. They will be able to handle open wounds and stop the person from bleeding.

The training is certified by Netcare and accredits those who complete the programme with the necessary skills to keep people alive in a medical emergency.

CPS Security expressed their gratitude to Netcare Alberton Hospital for their professionalism and world-class instruction.

“The course was so well designed, and the nurses and medical professionals that taught us were amazing,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, CPS Security sales director.
