Emergency water interruption affects several Alberton areas

Residents in several Alberton areas are experiencing water supply interruption after a pipe burst.

Residents in several parts of Alberton are currently experiencing an emergency water supply interruption following a burst pipe.

According to the City of Ekurhuleni, the affected areas include Brackendowns, Eden Park, Alrode, Sky City, Leopard Rest, Albertsdal, and Thinasongke.

The municipality confirmed that the interruption was caused by a burst pipe, which has disrupted the water supply to these communities.

Repair teams have been dispatched to address the problem, and the estimated time for water restoration is expected to be around 17:00.

Residents are encouraged to use water sparingly and report any leaks or burst pipes to the municipal call centre on 0860 54 3000.

The CoE also reminds residents that responsible water usage is essential to ensuring a stable water supply for everyone.
