Support young warriors at Bracken City Shopping Centre

Stepping Stone Palliative Care Services and their friendly mascot, Victor, will be at Bracken City Shopping Centre (on the court) on March 28 from 09:00 to 13:00 - come show your support for the little warriors who need us most.

Stepping Stone Hospice, together with their beloved mascot Victor, will be at Bracken City Shopping Centre on March 28 from 9am to 1pm to raise awareness and much-needed funds in support of their youngest and most vulnerable patients.

The community is warmly invited to come out and stand alongside the brave young warriors who face life-limiting illnesses every day.

This meaningful event, made possible thanks to the generosity of Bracken City Shopping Centre, is an opportunity for the community to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of local children and their families during their most difficult times.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about the specialised palliative care Stepping Stone provides to children, ensuring that every young patient is surrounded by love, comfort, and dignity.

“Our mission is to create a warm and welcoming environment that brings joy and comfort to our patients. We believe that every child deserves to feel loved, cherished, and supported, regardless of their diagnosis or prognosis. We’re grateful to Bracken City for supporting us yet again this year,” said Tersia Burger, CEO and founder of Stepping Stone.

She said the support of Bracken City allows them to reach more community members and share the vital work they do for children and families in need.

At the heart of the day’s fundraising will be a cupcake sale, with all proceeds going directly towards the care of Stepping Stone’s young patients.

You can play a part in two ways – by donating cupcakes to be sold on the day by no later than March 27, or by making a monetary donation to help purchase cupcakes for the sale. Cupcake donations can be dropped off at 15 Heidelberg Road, New Market, Alberton (Adult IPU).

Every cupcake sold, every rand donated, brings comfort and care to a child who needs it most.
