Ligstad calls for volunteers to support Alberton North aftercare programme
Community members invited to assist learners and uplift families through vital volunteer roles

Ligstad aims to serve the Alberton North community through its community members.
Each community member has unique qualities and skills that are crucial in empowering a successful community.
Volunteers have always been and will always be at the centre of all Ligstad’s services. Community volunteers know the specific needs, struggles, and challenges that need to be overcome. They are Ligstad’s eyes, ears, hands and feet in the community.
Ligstad is currently urgently recruiting volunteers to serve in their aftercare program. The Aftercare was established in 2012.
Ligstad offers affordable aftercare that still provides the essentials for a great aftercare program. Ligstad creates a warm, safe environment for children to learn and play. Many children call this a safe place where they receive love and attention from caring adults.
The volunteers assist the grades one to three learners actively with homework and supervise and assist the grades four to seven learners during homework time 16:00 -17:00, Mondays to Thursdays.
Should you wish to be a part of this great team, please contact Alida Jooste at 079 693 366 or via email at alida.jooste@ligstad.co.za
Volunteers are also utilised in Ligstad’s programmes with the elderly in our community. Should you rather have an affinity for the elderly, you are also welcome to make contact.
