Step up and join WOMan NPO for a charity hiking event
Join the hike, bring the family, support the cause and enjoy a day filled with sport, food, friendship and community spirit.
WOMan NPO is using the power of sport and community to drive positive change through its annual Hike ‘4APeriod26 Charity Event taking place on Saturday, October 31 at Rietvlei Zoo Farm.
Now in its second year, the charity event aims to bring together people from across the community, including families, homeowners, sellers, real estate agencies and property agents.
The event is designed to create an enjoyable space where people can be active, connect with others and support a meaningful cause.
The Hike ‘4APeriod26 event will begin with a community hike, followed by a picnic and braai. Participants will then have the opportunity to enjoy a range of activities, including indigenous games, networking and stall visits.
More than just a day of hiking and fun, the event has a purpose that reaches far beyond the trails. All funds raised will go towards menstrual health support, helping to provide essential menstrual products to young girls and restore dignity to those who may struggle to access these basic necessities.
There will also be a Lolos Massage Therapy experience, giving participants an opportunity to relax and recharge after the hike.
The event also provides an opportunity for real estate agencies and families to showcase their brands and connect with the wider community. Agencies and families are welcome to bring branding materials, including gazebos.
An event for the whole community
Individual registration is R250, while children under 10 can participate for R120 as part of the family offering. Real estate agencies can register for R1 000.
The hikers’ pack includes entrance to the venue, a goody bag, a hikers’ snack pack and lunch. Hikers will also receive a medal.
The real estate agency package includes entrance, a goody bag for those hiking, medals for those hiking, welcome finger snacks and lunch.
Agencies that register will also receive advertising on the event T-shirt, a branded agency water point and a certificate of attendance. Families will receive entrance to the venue, a meal and the picnic experience.
For those wanting some extra relaxation, the Lolos Massage Therapy Experience is available for R200.
As WOMan continues its work in the community, Hike ‘4APeriod26 reflects the organisation’s belief that meaningful change can start with people simply coming together, taking part and supporting one another.
