Johnny Muller is the new SA light-heavyweight champion

Johnny is following in the footsteps of two of the greatest SA light-heavyweights of all time Mike Holt and Pierre Fourie.

WHEN Johnny Muller lifted the SA light-heavyweight boxing crown at Emperors during the “Triple Thunder” tournament he followed in the footsteps of two of the greatest SA light-heavyweights of all time Mike Holt and Pierre Fourie to hold this coveted title.

The tussle for the SA light-heavyweight title between Johnny Muller and Tshepang Mohale, saw Muller reclaiming his championship status by stopping Mohale in the eleventh round. This championship bout was a rematch of the encounter in 2011 when Muller was dethroned by Mohale, but the difference this time was that the result was reversed. The inexperienced Muller back in 2011, now trained by Harold Volbrecht put in a much improved performance this time.
