Karateka pass their grading

Six karateka from Shin-Gi-Tai Karate Academy successfully passed their gradings.

Shin-Gi-Tai Karate Academy recently held their annual grading.

Students were evaluated on their performance, where they demonstrated their knowledge and the application of the Shotokan style.

“The high standards seen have made the grading panel very proud,” said sensei Lynda Myburgh.

“Six students graded to higher belts, having worked extremely hard to achieve their results.”

Conner Kok and Amogelang Sekhabi received their yellow belts. Demira and Shayan Singh each graded to green belt, while Warren Ailing and Declan Schutte received their blue belts. Abigail Leite received her second red belt.

Shin-Gi-Tai Karate Academy trains at the First Randhart Scouts Hall on the corner of Hibiscus and Boekenhout streets.

Training is from 5.30 pm for beginners and 6.30 pm for advanced students on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
