Eden Park Boxing Club opens, encourages residents to sign up
The club trains boys and girls as young as eight and adult males and females.
The Eden Park Boxing Club has opened its doors for 2026’s training and boxing bouts.
Sydney Kok, the club chairperson, says they are ready to welcome back their existing members and new fighters.
“2025 was one of the greatest years for the club. We want to do even better in 2026, and Eden Park Boxers have started training. A grueling year awaits the boxers as the club will be sending no less than four boxers to the SA Championships in Cape Town, Western Cape, later in the year. I’m also still calling on the youth to join the club,” said club chairman Sydney Kok.
“We are now officially open for everybody, old and new fighters. We call on all interested residents to sign up and join our club to get full training programmes from experienced coaches and boxers,” added Kok.
The club’s flyweight champion, Ruwayden Olifant, is in matric this year. Kok says he hopes Olifant will be able to juggle both academic commitments and boxing, and defend his title in Cape Town.
The club trains boys and girls as young as eight and adult males and females. Interested people may call Kok on 074 947 1677.
