Alberton Rugby Club opens doors for future female rugby stars
Alberton Rugby Club is calling on girls and young women in the community to get involved in rugby as the club continues to grow the women’s game through fun, supportive, and empowering training sessions every week
Alberton Rugby Club is encouraging girls and young women from across the community to join its growing women’s rugby programme and become part of one of the world’s fastest-growing sports.
Training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday from 18:00 to 19:30, giving players the chance to improve their rugby skills, fitness, confidence and teamwork in a welcoming environment.
The club says all girls are welcome, whether they are completely new to rugby or already have experience playing the sport. The focus is on creating a safe and supportive space where young women can enjoy the game, make friends and grow both on and off the field.
Parents, schools and community members are also encouraged to support the development of women’s rugby in Alberton and help build a stronger future for the sport locally.
With women’s rugby continuing to grow rapidly around the world, Alberton Rugby Club hopes more girls will take the opportunity to get involved and be part of the movement.
For more information, interested players can contact the club on 083 238 3711 or email rugbyclub@mweb.co.za. Or visit the training during the scheduled times.
