Alberton coach earns top national honour at SA Boxing Championships

Alberton Boxing Club is celebrating after coach Pieter Strydom received the Best Male Official trophy at the Youth & Elite SA Championships in the Western Cape.

Alberton Boxing Club has another reason to celebrate after coach Pieter Strydom was recognised on the national stage for his contribution to South African boxing.

Strydom recently attended the Youth & Elite SA Championships in the Western Cape from July 7 to 12, where he served as a referee and judge.

According to the club, Strydom was selected for the prestigious role because of the experience and knowledge he has gained in the sport.

“Because of the experience and knowledge that Coach Pieter Strydom from Alberton Boxing Club has, he was selected to attend the Youth and Elite SA Championships in the Western Cape from July 7 to 12 as a referee and judge,” the club said.

His dedication and professionalism did not go unnoticed during the championships.

Strydom was awarded the Best Male Official of the Championships trophy, an achievement that reflects the high standard of officiating he displayed throughout the national tournament.
