Crime prevention entities apprehend three men in Alberton

Six community safety entities in Alberton proudly arrested three men for copper cable theft.

Brackendowns CPF recently apprehended three men for copper cable theft after the suspects attempted to sell it at Alrode South.

According to the Brackendowns CPF’s Geoff Steyn, CPF members followed the suspects to a roadside food stall and requested backup from Brackendowns SAPS and security companies to increase the chances of arresting the suspects swiftly.

“We found a significant amount of copper hidden in the boot. Big thank you to Brackendowns SAPS, Sentinel Security, CPS, FOX and ADT for the backup,” said Steyn.

One of the apprehended suspects was out on bail for committing several offences.
