Kgololo Academy is currently recruiting its founding team of teachers for the 2015 school year.
“We are looking for skilled, imaginative, results oriented, and mission-driven teachers for our founding pre-R (00) and Grade R (0) classes,” said school co-founder Waahida Tolbert-Mbatha.
She said the school would open in phases, with the Grade R progressing to Grade 1 next year and so on. “We are not going to take pupils for other classes, but we would like to open in this phase and allow ourselves to develop our own culture for pupils,” she added.
Tolbert-Mbatha said interested teacher applicants should have at least two years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a community similar to Alexandra, and must be committed to their own development and an extended school day and year. The priority application deadline is set for 30 May.
