Realogile kids get buckets of hope

ALEXANDRA - Financial services company Ernst and Young cheered up disadvantaged children at Realogile Secondary School on the last day of the school year.

Financial services company Ernst and Young cheered up disadvantaged children at Realogile Secondary School and Minerva Secondary School on the last day of the school year.

They did this through ‘buckets of hope’ which were containers that had mealie rice, samp, tinned foods, sweets, biscuits and other items. This was part of the company’s annual event carried out countrywide at this time of year.

Siza Jack of the company said it was their gesture of spreading happiness to child-headed households and part of the company’s long term education support to needy schools and children.

The company has also initiated a countrywide programme, Next Generation Girls which supports 100 girls including six at Realogile who show leadership potential.

“The girls are prepared to be tomorrow’s leaders through special tutorials, study guides, comprehensive career guidance, motivational talks, mentors, psychological support, material items and university bursaries subject to performance,” she said. She said they were also taught philanthropic behaviour from a young age age to develop an attitude of caring and selflessness towards others in need.
