Three stabbed to death, hours apart

ALEXANDRA – Three young men stabbed to death hours apart.

Three men, two of them youths, died of stab wounds hours apart in one day in the first weekend of spring in Alex.

Police spokesperson captain Allie Kodisang said in the first incident which occurred at 3.30pm on 2 September, police were called to the Alex Clinic where they found a body already certified dead on a stretcher.

The body which was brought from a street by the Emergency Management Services had multiple stab wounds. It’s suspected the victim had been robbed as nothing was found in his pockets.

The deceased’s 21-year-old companion, who was also hospitalised for stab wounds in the neck, told the police that he was stabbed as he tried to separate the deceased from the suspect, who is known and is wanted.

The third victim, a 22-year-old man, was stabbed to death during a fight in Bothlabela Village in East Bank. Police found the body at the Alex Clinic where a female witness, who had accompanied the body brought in by the Emergency Management Services, provided them with undisclosed details about the incident.
