Gaxlcoc confirms the passing of Mpho Motsumi
The Greater Alexandra Chamber of Commerce (Galxcoc) has issued a statement in which it confirms the death of its president and leading Alex businessman Mpho Motsumi.
The Greater Alexandra Chamber of Commerce (Galxcoc) has confirmed the passing of its president and prominent businessman Mpho Motsumi (60).
In a brief statement, Galxcoc said it was with great sadness that it confirmed the passing of the Galxcoc) president Motsumi.
The statement did not detail the death of Motsumi who had been president of the Galxcoc for many years and was a founding shareholder of the Alex Mall, except indicating that further details would be communicated later.
Unconfirmed reports indicated occupants of a Quantum with AK47s shot him and he died on the spot, along with his bodyguard who has not been identified.
Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Mavela Masondo referred Alex News’ requests for comments on the incident to Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, to whom the publication has since directed its inquiries and now awaits the responses.
