Container stall contributes to growth of township economy
Divisional director of operations at Cashbuild Mimi Masala says the container donation will contribute to the economic emancipation of Alex residents.
Cashbuild hopes its donation of a container trading space to Tebogo Mosweu’s Ditebogo Gifts will contribute towards the economic emancipation of the residents of Alexandra who have been on the backdrop of economic development for a long time.
These were the words of the divisional director of operations at Cashbuild, Mimi Masala, when she presided over the handover of the donation of a container stall to the Alex businesswoman recently.
The container was made available by Cashbuild’s Supplier Development Programme which Masala said was inspired by the incredible journey of Tebogo Mosweu as a businesswoman and her selfless work in the community, especially with underprivileged children.
“Through the container stall, which is not only a flower shop but also offers corporate gifts and caters to the diverse needs of the community, Mosweu can continue to impact the lives of the township residents and economy.
“Mosweu was chosen for this opportunity because of her remarkable work in the community, specifically her dedication to assisting the underprivileged with early childhood education. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of young children is truly inspiring, and Cashbuild felt honoured to help her establish this business,” Masala said.
She said the container stall was Cashbuild’s contribution to empower her and contribute to the economic growth of the community. “We believe that supporting local entrepreneurs like Mosweu is crucial in creating sustainable development and fostering a thriving business environment.”
Sisonke Khoza, who is the accounts manager and one of the directors of Container Structures in City Deep that assembled the structure, said they were delighted to have played a role in the upliftment of the business of Mosweu.
