KillerK set to slay with new EP
KillerK looks forward to the release of his first EP on February 29 and he confirms that it will be a killer EP.
Budding Amapiano music artist Katlego Sibiya (24) is set to release his first EP titled Number Numba which will be available on all online music platforms as of February 29.
Speaking in an interview with Alex News, Kat as he is fondly known but goes by the stage name of ‘KillerK’ in the music circles, firmly believes the EP will blow many away when it finally hits digital music platforms such as Spotify, YouTube, Cavanza, and Tik Tok.
The Sandringham High School Class of 2019 alumni started music way back as a hip-hop rapper but switched to amapiano in 2018 and loves the genre. I plan to stay in this music genre for a long time unless something interesting comes up.
Born in Alex before the family moved to Bramley, KillerK started his primary education at Glenhazel before moving to Sandringham High and is the second-born in a family of three children, he has an elder brother and younger sister.
“I guess music runs in the family as my brother was a DJ. Both my brother and sister love my music as they immerse themselves in it. They are my greatest supporters and pillars of strength, including my girlfriend Promise Phalane,” KillerK said.
He said his girlfriend, who has been by his side since he started his music career, is involved in organising gigs and running other errands in the music business. “I will be forever grateful to her.”
KillerK said he met Kayah Keith M, a musician from London in the United Kingdom on a tour of South Africa, who played a pivotal role in developing ‘my music career to where it is today, and I would also like to acknowledge him’.
“We had various sessions with KKM after he noticed the musical talent in me and I can safely say that he’s partly responsible for who I am in the music industry today.”
