‘Toilet rape’ teens appear at Alexandra Magistrate’s Court

Two East Bank High School boys who allegedly gang-raped a 14-year-old girl in the school toilets on February 8 appeared in Alexandra Magistrate’s Court on April 17.

The boys appeared with a girl learner that is said to be an accessory to the alleged rape. The three juvenile learners have not been charged as yet and were remanded to a place of safety and will appear again in court on May 27.
The reason for the remand was to allow the police to continue with their unfinished investigations into the case.
