Sassa grant payment dates for June confirmed
Beneficiaries are urged to note the staggered payment schedule to avoid unnecessary trips to pay points and long queues.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) has officially announced the social grant payment dates for June. As is standard practice, payments have been staggered over several days to ensure the smooth and safe distribution of grants to millions of South Africans, while minimising congestion at retailers, banks, and cash pay points.

Older persons received their grants on June 2. Disability grant recipients were paid on June 3, while the child support grant, foster child grant, and other children’s grants are being paid on June 4. Any beneficiaries whose grants are still under review or fall into other categories are expected to receive payment from June 5 onwards.
Sassa has reminded all recipients to collect their money on the designated dates for their specific grant type rather than arriving earlier, which can lead to avoidable delays and frustration at outlets. The agency continues to encourage orderly collection to keep the process running efficiently for everyone in the community.

Beneficiaries should always have their Sassa cards and valid identification documents ready when collecting payments. It is also advisable to check account balances discreetly and to report any suspicious activity or card problems immediately. For the latest updates and any changes to the schedule, community members are advised to visit their local Sassa office or check the official Sassa website and social media channels.
