Tumelo Shai, an ActionSA candidate for Ward 105

In one sentence, who are you?
I am just a servant, someone who has the best interests of the community at heart. Everything I do, I do not for myself but the community.
What are the biggest issues facing your ward currently?
The issue of electricity. Besides that, most residents have been expressing concerns about the issue of title deeds. Most of the areas around Ward 105 do not have title deeds and the issue has been ongoing for more than 20 years.
What practical solutions would you prioritise should you be named councillor of your ward?
The issue of the title deeds is my first assignment, to make sure that we understand why it took the city so long to issue them. Also, I engage with all our municipal entities. Then, if they don’t respond to the emails and calls, I make sure that I knock on the door. I believe that when you are persistent and consistent in what you do, eventually, those who are sleeping will wake up and provide services. Once you keep on engaging with them.
What is one misconception about you or your party that you would clarify?
I am more focused on the positive side because people always talk.
Should your party’s candidate be named mayor, what issue should they address first?
Illegal immigration, that is the most important issue. If you can check, every problem that we have is linked to overpopulation, we can’t run the country when there is no order.
