Bedfordview SAPS corporate communications officer, Sergeant Mdudzi Nhlabathi, said that two men were chasing another man from the side of the Van Buuren on ramp towards the N3 South.
“When they got next to the petrol station that is close to the Kloof Road intersection, one of the men took out a knife and stabbed the one they were chasing. He was later certified dead on the scene. The other two fled the scene,” Sgt Nhlabathi said.
At the time of going to print, the cause of the fight had not been established by the police.
Sgt Nhlabathi could not confirm if the three men were vagrants.
“There were talks that these men were friends who are vagrants. This will be part of the investigation but for now we are not sure if they are,” Sgt Nhlabathi said.
