Community commended
Cleveland SAPS management thanked those community members who reported drug use within the Cyrildene area.
Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said members of the Johannesburg Crime Intelligence Unit received information on August 6 about people using drugs in a hotel in Derrick Avenue.
“Members proceeded to the address that was given and found four suspects in a room. Officers found a plastic bag with a white powder suspected to be crystal meth,” said Const Mashakane.
The suspects, aged 27, 31 and 42, were arrested and detained at the Cleveland SAPS.
Cleveland SAPS urges members of the community to continue reporting incidents such as these and drug dealers to the SAPS.
