Five men held a domestic worker at gunpoint during a house robbery on Van Der Linde Road in Bedfordview on Tuesday last week after 1pm.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS communications officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabathi, the domestic worker was taking out the trash when she was approached by the men.
“As she opened the gate, the men pointed firearms at her and forced her back into the house. The men forced her into the main bedroom where they tied her up and covered her with a duvet. They then removed the safe mounted on the wall,” said Sgt Nhlabathi.
The men stole an undisclosed amount of cash, jewellery and a gun that was in the safe.
