Attend a Kensington security meeting

The I Love Kensington Association (Ilka), will hold a security meeting on Saturday, November 2 at the Kensington Community Centre in Rhodes Park.

All residents have been urged to attend this meeting. Cleveland and Jeppe SAPS management has also been invited to discuss problem areas.

Mrs Lornette Joseph, Ilka chairperson, recently stated that Kensington must be policed as one suburb to ensure effective and productive policing.

The suburb is currently policed by two police stations due to the precinct boundaries. Mrs Joseph said this is a concern because it impacts on crime. She said people do not know who to contact in an emergency and more can be achieved in the fight against crime if everyone works together.

The meeting starts at 9am for 9.30am,

“Please attend. We need your help to make Kensington a safer place for all,” said Mrs Joseph.
