Two dignitaries from the Angolan Parliament and their wives were robbed in Cyrildene on January 21.
Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said the couples left OR Tambo Airport to go to the guest house they were staying at.
They went to a guest house in Gladys Street, Cyrildene.
“When they entered the gate, they saw a white Lexus also entering the premises behind them. Three men exited the car and pointed firearms at them. They demanded that the victims open the car boot,” said Const Mashakane.
The robbers took luggage, cellular phones, laptops, passports and cash and fled the scene in the Lexus.
