A man was arrested for murder in Yeoville. The suspect was arrested at the Times Square Lodge on January 31.
“The suspect went to the victim’s place of residence and started an argument. A neighbour went to investigate and found the suspect holding a knife. We believe the suspect is possibly the victim’s boyfriend. The suspect allegedly stabbed the woman once on the upper body,” said Constable Thabo Malatji of the Yeoville SAPS.
He ran away and the victim died on the way to hospital. “The police launched a manhunt and managed to arrest the suspect in Yeoville. He is expected to appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon,” said Const Malatji.
