HRS gets ‘NekNominating’

This act was inspired by the latest social media craze, ‘NekNomination’, involving drinking, where South Africans have interpreted this in a more positive manner.

Holy Rosary matrics recently accepted a challenge from the high school’s English teacher Mrs Mia Nixon to do a random act of kindness in their community.

The girls collected sandwiches and distributed them to the needy and homeless at the Edenvale Methodist Church on February 10.

This act was inspired by the latest social media craze, ‘NekNomination’, involving drinking, where South Africans have interpreted this in a more positive manner.

The girls decided to take up the challenge after viewing a response to the initial NekNomination where South African Brent Lindque donated a sandwich, chocolate and cold drink to a homeless man.

These random acts of kindness not only inspire the community to do good for others, but is also a clear message to the youth of our country that irresponsible drinking is not acceptable.

The school nominated St Benedict’s College matrics and 94.7 Highveld Breakfast Express, to do another random act of kindness.
