A man was robbed on Gillooly’s mountain, near John Avenue in Bedford Park on Saturday, February 15.
According to the Bedfordview SAPS’ communication officer, Sergeant Mduduzi Nhlabati, the victim drove up to Gillooly’s mountain. He parked his vehicle at the entrance to the mountain and walked up the mountain to pray.
“While walking down from the mountain to return to his vehicle, he was approached by unknown men. They ordered the victim to lie on the floor and then searched him. The suspects took the car keys, cash and the victim’s shoes before running to his car and fleeing the scene with it,” said Sgt Nhlabati
Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
