The Jeppe SAPS is looking for a suspect fitting the description of the person in this identity kit.
“In July last year, a 44-year-old woman was at her workplace in Doornfontein when she heard someone calling her name. When she went outside, she saw three men. One of the men pushed into another room, while the other two ordered her colleagues to lie down,” said Warrant Officer Richard Munyai of the Jeppe SAPS.
The suspects demanded cellular phones and wallets. “The suspects told the victim that they knew there was money at the premises and demanded it. One of the suspects took the victim to the fifth floor via an elevator,” said W/O Munyai.
According to W/O Munyai, the victim started to fight the suspect while inside the elevator, trying to stop it from getting to the fifth floor.
“The elevator eventually stopped on the ground floor. The suspect exited and fled. The victim informed the security guards that a robbery was in progress,” said W/O Munyai.
The guards searched the building but the suspect had fled.
