Kensington Crime Forum to meet
The Kensington Crime Forum meeting will take place on June 4 at 6.30pm.

All residents and business owners in the suburb are invited to attend the meeting.
Representatives from the Jeppe and Cleveland SAPS will attend the meeting to provide information relevant to people in their precincts as well as answer questions related to crime.
The last meeting was a success with several members of the community in attendance.
Having been established just a few months ago, Mr Bill Farquharson, the chairperson, said the forum is gaining momentum and he hopes more people will attend meetings.
A Facebook page, Kensington Sector Security Forum, was also established to keep residents in touch with what is happening in their surroundings.
“I urge people to join the group. We now have over 80 people on the page. We are trying to find other ways of disseminating important information to residents. We are considering social media applications such as Cnectd to include as many residents as possible in the forum,” said Mr Farquharson.
At a previous meeting, he urged residents to form street committees to tackle crime. He also said street committees should send representatives to the meeting.
The meeting on June 4 will take place at the Kensington Bowling Club in Ivanhoe Street.
