Ward 118 by-elections to take place

The ward 118 by-elections will take place on July 2.

The ward will be contested by Johaan Penuel Mkhumbuzi from the African National Congress, Michele Spadino-Pippa from the Democratic Alliance, Thandazile Portia Buthelezi from the Inkatha Freedom Party and Matshidiso Monica Kateregga from the National Freedom Party.

The by-elections follows the defection of former councillor, Ms Alison van der Molen, to the ANC earlier this year.

Since she defected, Clrs Victor Penning and Carlos da Rocha have tried to help residents where possible.

To be eligible to vote, you have to be registered at a voting station where you live.

You can only cast your vote at this voting station.

Voters must remember to take their identity books or identity smartcards.
