Fraudster (35) caught in the act

Constable Malatji said the man is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate's Court soon.

A 35-year-old man was arrested for possession of fraudulent documents in Yeoville. The arrest took place at the corner of Rocky and Bezuidenhout streets on Wednesday, August 6.

According to Constable Thabo Malatji, the spokesperson of the Yeoville SAPS, police received information about a man who was forging pay-slips and identity documents at an internet café. On arrival, the officers caught the man in the act. Constable Malatji said the man was found in possession of government employee pay-slips and three bar-coded South African identity documents bearing different names. He said the man is expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon facing charges of fraud. @JoburgJourno
