135 suspects were arrested in the Hillbrow cluster over the weekend following an anti-crime blitz.
“Suspects were arrested for car hijacking, possession of hijacked motor vehicles, possession of drugs, rape, robbery, theft out of a motor vehicle, assault, driving while under the influence of alcohol and domestic violence. Some suspects were also arrested for possession of suspected stolen property, theft and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.
He said most of the suspects are expected to appear in the Hillbrow and Jeppe Magistrate’s Court soon. @JoburgJourno
