Pensioner yet to be contacted by Metrobus

The EXPRES previously reported about how Mr Michael Lingwood had to be taken to the Bedford Gardens Hospital, after sustaining injuries to his head and upper body.

A 76-year-old pensioner is yet to hear from Metrobus following his accident as he tried to board a bus on the corner of Marshall and Robinson streets in Belgravia on April 4.

The EXPRES previously reported about how Mr Michael Lingwood had to be taken to the Bedford Gardens Hospital, after sustaining injuries to his head and upper body.

“I have not yet been contacted by anyone from the company. They have my contact details,” said Mr Lingwood.

When the EXPRESS contacted Metrobus, we received contradictory information. Mr Lutendo Masikhwa, the operations manager of Metrobus, said there was progress in the matter.

“Road Accident Fund (RAF) forms have been completed and sent to Pretoria. We contacted the pensioner, but he refused to talk to us,” said Mr Masikhwa. @JoburgJourno
