Jeppe Girls’ 2014 class congratulated on 100 percent pass rate

A 100 percent pass rate was attained for the 21st year in succession by Jeppe High School for Girls.

A total of 127 distinctions were obtained overall by Jeppe High School for Girls‘ 2014 class.

Tia Pillay was the top matric performer with eight distinctions (English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, Accounting, AP Maths and Life Orientation).

She has been awarded a bursary from the CSIR and will be studying Mechatronics at UCT this year.

Other top achievers were Savannah Bennett and Nadine Shaikjee with seven distinctions each.

Thishala Waidyaratne obtained six distinctions.

Savannah Bennett was awarded distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, Visual Art and Life Orientation and will be studying at UCT this year. Nadine was awarded distinctions in English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Science, Accounting and Life Orientation and will be studying at Wits.

Thishala Waidyaratne  was awarded distinctions in  English, Afrikaans, Life Science, History, Accounting and Life Orientation.
