On Monday morning, while the Edenvale SAPS head of crime prevention Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts was travelling to work, he spotted two men carrying large black bags on Horwood Street.

When he stopped his vehicle to enquire what the men were carrying, they both fled.

Lt Col Roberts chased the men and caught one.

When the packages were opened, two large plasma television screens were found.

The man caught was arrested and will appear in court soon on charges of being in possession of suspected stolen property.
