Children’s home hosts fun day

The Johannesburg Children’s home hosted a fun day last Saturday to help the children in the home’s care to raise money for extra treats.

Members of the community were invited to have their cars washed by the children for R35 each.

While the children were at work putting the shine back onto the cars, those in attendance took a walk through the exhibition of children’s art in the hall, sponsored by the National Lottery.

According to the managing director, Ms Narisha Govender, the art expo was held in commemoration of Child Protection Week.

“It really is well worth a visit and will give our children encouragement and confidence to know that friends like you are interested in what they have achieved,” said Ms Govender.
