A Bertrams man was robbed and abducted from his home and dropped off at the Bez Valley Park on July 2.
The Jeppe SAPS communications officer, Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi, said the man knew one of the three men who kidnapped him.
“He was called out of his house by the man he knew. As he was approaching the car, which was parked in his driveway, a man he did not know pointed a firearm at him.
“They forced him into the car and drove to the park. The men accused him of being a police informer and threatened to kill him.
“They then searched him and took an undisclosed amount of money and a cellular phone before they fled the scene, leaving him at the park,” said W/O Munyayi.
The three suspects were arrested later that evening.
