A 38-year-old security guard appeared in the Germiston Magistrate’s Court on November 20 after he was charged with the murder of a colleague.
The Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson, Warrant Officer Mduduzi Nhlabathi, said the security officer and his 25-year-old colleague had an argument while on duty on Barbara Road in Elandsfontein.
W/O Nhlabathi said the argument broke out after 3am on Tuesday morning.
“When the police arrived at the scene, the victim was lying on his back on the floor. He had a stab wound to his chest,” he said.
He said the guard was arrested on Thursday, November 19, and appeared in court on Friday.
