Shots fired at Bruma Oriental City

A security guard at the centre was notified that a man had cut the lock off an exit gate at the centre.

A case of attempted murder was opened following a shoot-out at the Bruma Oriental City, this morning.

A security guard at the centre was notified that a man had cut the lock off an exit gate at the centre.

According to the spokesperson for the Cleveland SAPS, Constable Mpho Mashakane, when the guard approached the suspect to investigate the matter, the man fired several shots at the guard.

The guard then returned fire.

11, 9mm rounds were found at the scene.

Nobody injured and no property damaged. The motive for the shooting incident is unknown.
