Jeppe High School for Girls inducted its new councillors on 13 January.
“Councillors together with house captains and vice house captains play a very important role in building team spirit at Jeppe Girls. We wish them good luck for 2017,” said Carole Heming, public relations officer for the school.
The councillors will be responsible for organising events from the Grade 8 welcoming party to the inter-house gala.
“Educators have minimal involvement in the organisation of these events, which encourages the girls to develop their management and leadership skills.”
