What’s Happening

The What’s Happening column provides an opportunity for local non-profit organisations such as schools, churches, charities, service clubs and associations to advertise their events free of charge.

• Be involved in your community and be part of the solution to fight crime. The first Crime Forum meeting for the year will take place on 18 January at 6pm. It will be held at Mandeville Sports Centre situated on the corner of 6th Avenue and 10th Street in Bez Valley. The second meeting will be held on 19 January at 6.30pm in Hofland Park situated on the corner of 3rd Street and 5th Avenue in Bez Valley.
• The Household Consumers’ League meets every second Wednesday of every month at James Sadie Auditorium in Hawley Street in Bedfordview at 9.30pm. During the meetings, consumer issues will be discussed and acted upon and speakers will present discussions on various topics. Anyone interested in joining the group can contact the secretary on 011 648 4729.
• I love Kensington Association (ILKA) will hold a special general meeting on 28 January at 9am. The meeting will be held at Rhodes Park Community Centre. Residents are invited to attend.
