He is currently out on bail.

“It is alleged by the victim that the suspect told her that he was breaking into cars to get money for a ‘fix’,” said Bedfordview SAPS’ W/O Mduduzi Nhlabathi.

“At around 6.45am a resident realised that her Ford Escort had been broken into. The right front door handle was badly damaged and the left front door handle was lying on the ground,” explained Nhlabathi.

“Upon closer inspection, she realised that the driver’s door had been tampered with. She then saw a strange male inside a black BMW X5 and all the doors were open. She realised that this was the suspect and called the police,” the W/O further explained.

The man who was arrested stays in the same complex.
